It is important to understand consumer behavior towards this medium as the attitudes of the consumer will impact consumer exposure, attention, and reaction to individual advertisements (Schlosser, Shavitt, Kanfer, 1999). There have been a few instances of empirical studies carried out in the context of consumer attitudes and e-advertising (Ravi, 2005). Yet, a majority of the literature fails to include email advertising in its research. Many are unsuccessful in distinguishing email advertising from other forms of advertising. Still, there is limited research which emphasizes email advertising (Martin, van Durme, Raulas, Merisavo, 2003). If I consider advertising, there exist a small number of articles that focus on consumer attitudes towards SMS-type m-advertising, including the study by Tsang, et al., (2004), Rettie, et al., (2005), and Carroll, et al., (2007). The new generation MMS-type m-advertising has received practically no attention from the academic aspect. The fact is that consumer markets and communication media will become fragmented to a great extent (Karson, et al., 2006) so it is important that the differences between the media in the advertising domain be noted. Any analysis that is carried out, which focuses on these differences will enable the marketers to get in-depth information related to the application and suitability of individual sub-types of interactive digital advertising. It will also help choose between the four available sub-types of interactive digital advertising channels to ensure that the message is communicated correctly to the customers. Still, empirical studies related to this subject are rarely found. This research will help aid further study into consumer attitudes related to interactive digital advertising. Actually, this research will aim at identifying the differences that are present in consumer attitudes, which may be related to these four sub-types of interactive digital advertising. I can conclude by stating that the research questions in this study will be designed so as to elucidate whether the attitudes of the consumers differ when it comes to internet-based e- and email advertising, and mobile-phone-based SMS- and MMS-type advertising. Today, when the media are so fragmented there are several ways that can be used to create advertising campaigns that use Interactive Digital Advertising. Interactive Digital Advertising will be inevitable given the Internet is becoming an inseparable and intrinsic part of our lives. 6. Research Methodology Research methodology is the core behind any research that is conducted. I will opt for the Questionnaire method since the primary data suits the needs of this research. High School Curriculum When reviewing the literature regarding the past, present and future of educational curriculum, several main points seem apparent, namely that curriculum is cyclical, that a dilemma or paradox exists, and that curriculum must be looked at with a sensitive view. According to Lashway (1999) educators once saw educational reform as cyclical. Every ten years or so one could expect a public outburst followed by frantic efforts to mend a broken system. However, in the last twenty years there seems to have been a perpetual reform. Looking to the past it seems that curriculum became diluted. Schools offered many electives; schools even watered down the curriculum hoping to ââ¬Å"keepâ⬠students (which was later found to only compound the problem) (Mclaughlin 1990). Curriculum resembled a lawn sprinkler covering a lot of area yet having very little force. In the 1980ââ¬â¢s a report called ââ¬Å"A Nation At Riskâ⬠stated that American children had fallen behind in such subjects as math and science. Thus came the advent of educationââ¬â¢s increased focus on literacy and numeracy, accountability and academic standards. These high standards, according to Dumas (2000), are the most significant trend in schools today. These new standards seem to be focusing more on both accountability and back to basics. As a math teacher I can be delighted by this focus. However, as a potential administrator, I realize this is too myopic a view. Indeed these standards have created a dilemma -- a conundrum -- a paradox. Back to basics? BUT these basics must be taught differently, by stressing higher level thinking and life/work appreciation. Additionally, all children must be taught, be they rich, poor, learning disabled, foreign speakers etc. Cut frills but be creative Do not forget educating the ââ¬Å"wholeâ⬠child. Do well on standardized test while remembering and accounting for fewer standardized kids. Be literate and professional but as pointed out in numerous articles, care, and be a good moral person. Additionally include character education for students. This has led some educators to express reservations about these current trends, mostly because of fears that reform will be driven by conformity to policy mandates rather than the educational needs of children. John Goodlad (1999) observes, ââ¬Å"The language of school reform virtually eschews reference to the measuring of self, civility, civic-mindedness, democratic character and participation in the whole of the human conservation.

Philosophy of Education Having graduated from a public school system, I feel my experiences and opinions are not only first hand, but they are something I should always try to consider when thinking about or dealing with my own students. As every student has, I have had great teachers as well as terrible ones; some of those teachers everyone loved or hated, and other received varied opinions about themselves from their students. The student teacher relationship is something that is unavoidable, as it should be. The reason I am pursuing teaching as my profession is because I understand that children need someone in their lives to make a difference, and if I could be that someone for only a handful of my own students, I will have succeeded. I view teaching as being more than simply showing a child how to read-as important as that is-teaching is also about showing a child the importance of self. Without self-esteem, self-discipline and self-control, there would not be many people who could make it successfully in todayââ¬â¢s world. And if Iââ¬â¢m successful in teaching children how to read, as well as something important about themselves, I will have helped some kids survive as adults. I donââ¬â¢t care anything about being the teacher that everyone thinks is so cool and loves, nor do I want to be the one that everyone hates. What I do want to be is a teacher that is respected by my students because I have been fair and have given each of them a chance to pass and succeed. I want my students to trust me. I want them to know that I am not perfect and realize that none of them are, but I do hope that they realize that I do expect from them what I would expect from my self if I were one of my own students. Knowledge of subject is next on my list of importance. I know how important it is for my self to be knowledgeable about the subject I am teaching; but no matter how much I know my students will only learn what I teach to them successfully.

Medicine Sketch Essay
ââ¬ËThat service is the noblest which is rendered for its own sakeââ¬â¢. ââ¬â Mahatma Gandhi. Humanââ¬â¢s existence on the earth is always full of great pleasures and sorrows, strengths and weaknesses and health and illnesses, like the day and the night these happenings are inherent in everyoneââ¬â¢s life cycle. It is silver lining that there are noble people who work all their lives to mitigate the sufferings of the others. Among them, the profession of medicine is perhaps most respected for their service to society. My desire to become a doctor dates back to when I was in Preparatory School. Although as a young child, I did not quite understand what doctors essentially do. My desire heightened by the numerous amounts of sick people I came across. As I grew up, I steadily understood what it entailed being a doctor and that strengthened my desire even more. When I was nine years old, my grandfather suffered from Lung cancer. This resulted in my mother making endless t rips to the hospital to visit him. Occasionally, she would take me along, and the condition my grandfather was in, mortified me. He always seemed to be in too much pain and as I was young and eager to learn more, I asked a lot of questions as to uncover why my grandfather was undergoing so much pain. My mother always tried to encourage me, by telling me that the doctors will make sure that my grandfather pulls through his sickness. This gave me some sense of hope and made me believe that doctors always saved life. That is when my dream of becoming a doctor started as I was pestering my mother with many questions concerning being a doctor. I want to become a doctor to be able to help people who are less fortunate in society. This reason is inspired by the plight of people who live in Jamaica and are not able to afford the funds to seek quality medical care. In addition, Jamaica is usually susceptible to diseases. Those affected most are small children, and my love and compassion for them makes me want to become a doctor so that I might be able to help them. Many children in Jamaica need to undergo surgery but because their parents lack funds to support them, they spend the rest of their life suffering in pain. I believe in being courteous to fellow human beings, and since God wants us to love and care for one another, I want to become a doctor so that I can make people with such illness smile their brightest and warmest smile again. Upon completing 60hrs of community service at the Black River Hospital and 118.5 hrs at Thames Medical Center, the sight of the patients suffering has strengthened my hearts yearning to do my part in society to help individuals in great anguish. I would like to dedicate my life to the service of helping the sick and suffering, by becoming a doctor I would fulfill this unfathomable desire. I would like to help relieve the sufferings and pain of mankind not only as a healer, but also as a friend, supporting them in their toughest moments, and as a mentor, guiding them to live healthy lifestyles. Becoming a doctor would help me to strive to make the life of others better and healthier. Doctors are meant to be selfless, in a position to serve people without being greedy for money as it is a form of giving back to society.
